Appeal after dead lamb found in Radlett field |
||
|
Dear Resident, Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after a lamb was found dead in a field in Radlett. Around 8.40am today (Thursday 14 May), the animal was found in a field that runs alongside a public footpath opposite Battlers Green Farm on Common Lane. PC Michael Henry, from the Rural Operational Support Team, said: “Due to the nature of the injuries we do not believe any animals were involved in the killing of the lamb. “Unfortunately, due to the rural location, there are limited CCTV enquiries, so we are appealing for anybody with information to come forward. “I appreciate this news will be of concern to the farming community, and we are working to establish the full circumstances. “It’s suspected the lamb died overnight and into the early hours of this morning. If you have any details, no matter how small or insignificant you think the information you have may be, please report it.” You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting 41/44485/26. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
